
Doug has been a writer since 1977 when he graduated from
the University of Illinois in journalism. He is the award-winning author
of more than 50 books, including more than 40 for the popular VeggieTales
series. In addition to his children’s writing, he has been a science writer
for the University of Illinois since 1979.
Doug, who is based in Champaign, Illinois, has written for all age groups, including preschool, grade school, high school, and adult. He has also written for many forms of media, including books, games, magazines, newspapers, the Internet, and video. (He has even published a pillow book.)
